So, a while back, I stumbled upon an artist’s WP blog, Living Dead Girl Nicole. Notably, she’s from Chicago, out near my hometown neck of the woods. She loves creating portraits of the macabre and horrific. Tim Burton and Rob Zombie are among her inspirations for pieces. She recently posted about a new bar opening in L.A. called Beetle House which features some of her work.
While sitting on my couch petting Wicka, my gorgeous little black cat, I ventured onto her Etsy shop page. What do I come across but a portrait of Miss Kimberly Freeman of One-Eyed Doll. I about fan-girled. One-Eyed Doll is a two piece band of epic, massive distortion. The last time I saw them, out on their Witches Tour, I gave Kimberly a big hug, received a poster, and an autograph card signed “Stay Tasty, Brie!”
So, to LDG Nicole, I don’t know when, but I will purchase this piece of art.
